EleFence President Dick Houston will be a Keynote Speaker at the Martin & Osa Johnson Safari Museum Africa Film Festival Chanute, Kansas April 23 & 24, 2010
The Martin & Osa Johnson Safari Museum has one of the most extensive natural history-exploration libraries and film archives in the world.
EleFence has been awarded two grants from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to help with conservation efforts in Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.
The logo connects people with the elephant, which symbolizes EleFence's motto: "Safeguarding People...Safeguarding Elephants"
Mission Statement: "EleFence is committed to help resolve human-elephant conflict in Africa by protecting the endangered ecosystem that sustains both the local people and elephants."
How do we do this?Building partnerships. Like links in a fence, EleFence partners with wildlife conservation organizations in Zambia with track records of protecting the elephant -- and educating the local people to become better stewards of their fragile natural resources and wildlife.
We work closely with South Luangwa Conservation Society (SLCS) and Chipembele Wildlife Education Center to accomplish our goal of Safeguarding People, Safeguarding Elephants. Our modus operandi is “C-C-C”:
Communication
