MAX SEYMOUR

Max Seymour

Chief Executive Officer & Trustee

Max Seymour, ELEFENCE Chief Executive Officer and Trustee, came to ELEFENCE as its very first Trustee in August of 1998. Max served in the Navy from 1969 to 1973 as a Hospital Corpsman, serving most of that time with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. He graduated with a BA in history from The Ohio State University in 1977 and was selected as Outstanding Senior in 1977. Max also held many leadership roles while at university. During the past few years he has been a guest lecturer at the Ohio State University, representing ELEFENCE on “Human Elephant Conflict." He was employed in chemical sales for over 40 years, most of that time involved in the pulp and paper making industry.

Max retired in 2015 and returned to Ohio. Since retiring he's been active by driving other veterans to their medical appointments. For 22 years, Max remains a loyal and steadfast supporter of the ELEFENCE mission to safeguard endangered elephants, and to help improve lives of impoverished village communities in wildlife areas.
